2009 Mandatory Coaches Meeting
is scheduled for
5:00PM
Thursday, February 26, 2009.
Meeting will be held prior to the start of the Squirt Olympics at the Fargo North High School, Commons Area,
next to the Fargo Coliseum. Enter through south doors of High School.
If unable to attend please have Team Manager or representative present.

2009 Fargo Flyers International Squirt Hockey Tournament Team Selection Process

All teams must submit an application and abide by 2009 Tournament Rules and Team Eligibility Requirements.
The deadline for applications is October 15, 2008.
No teams have or will be notified as to selection or turned away until after the application deadline has expired and the Selection Committee meets to make their selections.
All Tournament applications received will be submitted to the Tournament Selection Committee for review and selection of teams at 6:00 PM at their Oct. 15, 2008 meeting.
The Committee selects from the submitted applications a specific number of 'A' teams and 'B' teams from each of the USA Hockey districts, plus, because we receive many applications from teams applying from Minneapolis, an additional district made up of Minneapolis teams.
48 'A' Teams and 48 'B' Teams are selected to compete in the Tournament.
We make every effort to bring in new teams to give as many teams as possible the opportunity to compete in our Tournament.
Submission date of application is not considered in selection process as long as application arrives prior to 5:00 PM of the deadline date.
Submission of application does not guarantee selection into Tournament.
Tournament fees submitted with applications are not deposited until after team selection is completed.
The 48 'A' Teams and 48 'B' Teams selected for competition will be posted on this 'Tournament Teams' page by 12:00pm Midnight Oct. 15, 2008 and each team will receive a follow up information packet in the mail.
Teams not selected for competition will be notified by phone, fees for teams not selected will be returned at time of notification.
Teams not selected for competition and teams whose applications arrive after the deadline date are given the option of being placed on a waiting list for consideration should a team from their region withdraw from the tournament.

Answers to FAQs

All teams both 'A' & 'B' Division are guaranteed a minimum of 5 games. Some teams competing may play 6 games.
All Bracket Championship games will finish at approximately 3:00 pm Sunday. The Tournament Championship game will be completed at approximately 4:00 pm on Sunday. Tournament competition will conclude with the completion of the Tournament Championship game.
Tournament dates are Feb. 27 - March 1, 2009
The Fargo Flyers Squirt Olympics is scheduled for 6:00 PM, Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Fargo Coliseum. For further information on the Squirt Olympics please click on the link above.
There will be a mandatory Coaches / Team Managers Meeting 5:00 PM on Thursday Feb 26, 2009 prior to the start of the Squirt Olympics. More information will be included in Confirmation packet.
The Tournament competition for both divisions will begin on Friday morning February 27, 2009.
Tournament Friday Pools for A & B teams will be set two weeks prior to the start of the tournament and sent to all teams at that time.
All of the 96 competing teams are guaranteed a 5 game Tournament. All teams will play two games on Friday and Saturday and one game on Sunday, some teams will play two games on Sunday for a total of six. The first games for all teams on Friday will begin between 7:30 am and 11:30 am.
The last game on Sunday, February 27 will be the always exciting Fargo Flyers International Squirt Tournament Championship Game scheduled for 2:00pm at the Urban Plains Center. This game will finish at approximately 4:00PM. Stick around you don't want to miss this one, it's always great.
All final games of the Tournament will finish at approximately 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 27, except for the Tournament Championship Game as stated above.
